Hi, I have a new computer and Windows XP came with it
already installed. I created a new account for my self
with a password for loging on purposes. When I exited,
shut down and went back on to use it, the screen goes
right to the "Enter your Password" screen. I try to enter
my password but it's not taking it. I can't leave this
screen. The only option I'm given is to "Turn off
Computer". I need to get to the control panel in order to
make any changes and I can't even get there. What do I
do!???

Did you have the CAPS lock on? Passwords are case sensitive.

Another option would be to press Control-Alt-Delete twice to get the classic
logon. Type administrator for username and leave the password field blank.
If you're using Home, then you need to do this from safe mode. Once in,
reset your password.
