Password

Hi
When I start up my computer win Xp opens up with a request for my password.I
never had to do this with 98 and have no need for password protection for
Windows. Is there any way I can remove this password requirement ?

Start, run, type in: control userpasswords2, hit enter.

Uncheck: users must enter a user name and password to use this computer.

Xp will then ask you to enter the user and password you want to auto-logon
to.
Or
Download and install tweakui for xp and use its auto-logon feature.

If you plan to use the internet with this computer, then
you have a use for a windows password. Your computer is
vulnerable without it.
