Password question

My nephew called tonight with the following problem: He has had his system
for over a year (XP Home SP1) and has never shut it down until last week
when he moved. He now cannot remember his password and he is the only user
on the system. Is there anyway he can either bypass the password or log on
and change it? Thanks for any help.
