password protection on sharing folders or drives

hi

I wanna keep my sharing folders under password on the network but I can't how can i do it
tell me please.......

I'm sorry but Windows XP doesn't use passwords for shared folders. If you
are using XP Professional, you can disable simple file sharing and define a
access control list that specify users and their allowed mode. You can also
create a compressed folder and define a password for it. Details here.
