Password Protected PST

Is there a way to get around the password protection of a pst file? I have
a pst with a password but do not recall what the password is.

I have a sorta similar problem - my motherboard crashed, I got a new computer
and am transfering files, I recovered my hard drive but the Outlook import
program on my new computer asks for a password for my .pst file when
importing it off a disc. I've never used a password for that file. What do
I do?
If all else fails, how can I open the .pst file in something I can read to
get my info back?

Firstly, do NOT use the import function for pst files, as has been
explained many times in this group.
Copy the pst file to your HDD (do NOT overwrite any existing file), and
remove the Read-Only attribute. Then, in Outlook, go to
File-Open-Outlook Data File and navigate to where you put the file.

What version of Outlook were you using when your old machine crashed?
