Does anyone know if it is possible to password protect a
specific folder in Windows 2000?

There is no "password" protection for folders per se. In W2K, you will need
to be using ntfs file system which allows you to assign user and group
permissions to files and folders. If a user does not have any ntfs
permissions either by user account or group membership, then they can not
access the
folder/files. Keep in mind that the exception is any user that is a local
administrator can take ownership of any file/folder on the computer and
grant
themselves permissions. --- Steve

much the
same for W2K.
