Password invalid in Recovery Console

I am trying to run XP through the recovery console off of
the XP CD after crashing from the service pack 2
download. I get to the administator password and it says
it is invalid. I saw a posting to download the fix for
this on floppies but i need to know if i can copy the
files to a cd because i don't have a floppy drive.
