Password for Outlook 2002 after enabling Exchange

I need to set up an exchange server on a PC for a computer based phone system
(Cybergenie) to work properly. I went to Mail in the control panel and set
up the account on that computer. I gave the account a user name but no
password, the account seemed to be accepted. Now when I try and open Outlook
2002 I am prompted for user name and password. I leave the password blank but
get an error that the user name and password don't match.

How do I fix this?

Really? A whole Exchange Server? What credentials did you give this user in
Active Directory?

Hal,

After posting I continued to research exchange servers. Obviously this is
something I know nothing about. Maybe I need an account with an exchange
server. My phone system software did not give me this problem before SP3
installed, so it new to me. I have found what seems to be a site that offers
free accounts, mail2web.com.

At any rate I found a way to delete the profile that was requiring a logon
so the password issue is resolved. Now I just need to figure out what SP3 did
and how to work around it. This may turn out to have nothing to do with
Outlook or exchange servers. If so I am sorry to have posted here.
