I have a peer-to-peer Win2000 Pro SP2 network, and want
users to be able to share a common folder after they log
in. The problem is they have to enter another password to
allow the mapping.
Here's some details:
On machine "B" I created a mapped drive to a folder
on "A", and chose "Connect using a different user name".
(I specified a user name/group that I had set up for this
purpose.) At the time of mapping, the connection is made
to machine "A" correctly. HOWEVER, if machine "B" is re-
started, users have to enter the password mentioned above
(in addition to their login info). The system does not
appear to save the sharing password specified at the time
of mapping. Is this normal?
