Partitioning an NTFS Drive

I have a 30GB drive and no room in my computer for a second drive. So, I
want to reduce the size of the existing partition and create a new one
exclusively for data. As I recall, Windows 2000 Server has partitioning
capabilities built into Disk Management. Does Windows 2000 Professional
have the ability to change partitions, or do I have to use a third-party
utility?

You'll have to use 3rd party solution, either that or backup data,
re-partion, format and re-install everything. Disk Management can not
re-size partitions.

An external drive would need to be USB 2.0 to be useful, in my opinion.
Does win2K support USB 2.0? I thought XP was required.

To repartition an existing drive with data, I'd use Partition Magic.
However, do a backup first.
