Partition improperly dismounted

I have XP Pro installed on Adaptec 1200A-2xWDC 120Gb in
Raid 0 (striping). My kid pressing everything on the
keyboard put system in standby mode. Because I couldn't
start it back I turned off the power. After that system
did not start, actually system has been restarting all the
time.
With Partition Magic Rescue disk I get the information:
"Error 1516 Partition improperly dismounted" - The
partition dirty flag is set in a restart record in the
journal file. This error may have been caused by a power
failure or system crash while the Windows NT operating
system was writing the partition.
Fix 1: This problem can often be resolved by running
CHKDSK /F on the affected drive"

And now I faced the problem: how to run chkdsk???
Whatever I used (I was trying to reinstall winxp from cd,
use rescue console) system was restarting. When I
used "NTFS Reader for DOS 1.01" program displayed
everything what was on disc but I still couldn't run
chkdsk.

Yes, I can put another disk and copy everything into it
and reinstall system, but because all the data seems to be
correct I'd rather use my old drives and system.

Do you know how to resolve that problem? run chkdsk, which
with high probability can help or maybe there is other way
to bring my system back to life.

Have you tried going doing using the NTFS reader and running
c:\windows\system32\cmd.exe. Hopefully this will open up the dos emulator
which can then run chkdsk.
