CHKDSK always on

Hi.
I have a problem. Every time I do a restart the chkdsk window starts up. It
wants to run a chkdsk on partition I. I have the disk partitioned into three
partitions. I is not a system partition. I just have some games and data on
it. When I let it run it comes up files to be fixed. I did it three times
untill it completed and completed the restart.
My question is how do I cancle the CHKDSK on that partition.

Go to Kelly's site at http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_abc.htm . Click on
"C" and scroll to "Check Disk - Disk Checking Runs Upon Boot" for
suggestions. I would also suggest you get a drive diagnostic utility from
the hard drive manufacturer's website. That will create a bootable floppy
or CD. Boot from that and run the diagnostics on the drive.

Thier is a download for that with xp,#315403

Another incredibly ridiculous response from our resident troll. What in the
world are you talking about? That KB article 315403 is:

Stop 0x000000ED Error Message When Volume on IDE Drive with Caching Enabled
Is Mounted.

Now how does that relate to the OP's issue?

Andrew E. has been trolling in here for as long as I can remember. It's
always the same - ranging from benign to ridiculous to down right dangerous.
It's more to alert other folks who wander through here about him.

Yes, I mentioned that once to him, the similarities between his posts and
Andrew E.'s. He never responded to my questions on how he posts, and hasn't
changed his style either. I do see some differences. He seems interested
in helping, but I don't understand why he does things the way he does.

somebody
finally
got
on
his
case.
