Partition HD

If I partition My O/S drive into 2 partitions, and i have a system crash
will i loose both partitions? Or just the O/S part?

If it is a software crash you will just lose you OS partition, but if it is
a Hardware crash such as disk failure, you will lose both.

If there is a software crash you won't lose either partition. You may have
to reinstall the OS to the OS partition but the data won't be lost unless
the crash was a result of a hardware failure or you decide to reformat the
partition during the reinstall of the OS. Exception, if the drive is
encrypted you may not be able to recover the data.
