Parasite

After reading another message post i clicked on a link ( http://www.aumha.org/a/noads.php ) to find out if i have parasites on my puter! I received the following
WARNING: Your browser appears to have the "InternetOptimizer/Crmrest" parasite installed. This software can compromise your computer's security. It might have been installed without your knowledge. Information and removal instructions ....etc etc
I read through, and performed the suggested tasks but didnt find the relative reg key or downloaded program file
However, in add/remove programs i found 'MEDIA MOTOR' and clicked remove to which i was prompted to re-start my puter. After many attempts at removing and re-starting the 'MEDIA MOTOR' is still in add/remove yet a search does not detect it
Short of throwing my puter out the window and into the path of an oncoming truck,is there anything i can try?
