Paragraph Formatting

I upgraded from FrontPage 2000 and am unable to format paragraphs. The boxes that allow you to change spacing are grayed out. Do I need to reinstall FrontPage 2003?

Choose Page Options from the Tools menu, click the
Authoring tab, set all the drop-down lists to Custom, and
select all the check boxes.
