PaPaJohn EMERGENCY!

My video clips stop and my audio continues on to the end! I have tried
saving as a DV-AVI file. The video ran full length doing that, but it
changes the display ratio to 720x480 and distorts my playback(which needs to
be 640x480). I have tried saving to CD and to the computer. I installed XP
SP2 (so I should have 2.1), and this got my video to run longer but it still
stops. I have about 300 slides with transtions between each. I am frantic.
I have been searching for help for 3 days and I only have two more until my
grandparents 50th wedding anniversary! PLEASE HELP!!!

Check the info on the Problem Solving > Can't Save a Movie page of my
site.... 300 pix with transitions between them can be complex enough so
you're running into a memory issue.... the info on the page includes how to
check the memory situation.

If it needs to be 640x480, I'm assuming you'll be playing it on a computer
and not heading toward a DVD.

You might try rendering it to a lower quality file too.... which uses less
memory and confirms the project itself is fine... a 320x240 profile.

Saving to a 640x480 file should play back in the Windows Media Player at the
same size as one saved as 720x480 (NTSC), so I'd need to know more about
what options you're saving with and what player you're viewing it in.... I
just checked with WMP10 and the sizes of playback are identical when saving
to WMV files.

I was playing it back using I believe IntervideoDVD. However, I used the
advice from your site about increasing virtual memory and the maximum amount
of transitions. After a little trial and error the movie finally saved and
played through on Media Player. I used it for the anniversary and everyone
was pleased. I can't thank you enough!
