Panasonic NV-GS - Can't capture the video in my PC

It works for me, too

I don't know about dropped frames. Sometimes the video is jerky, so is this
due to dropped frames, or is it just that the PC is working overtime?

I download to the PC using a laptop with XPSP2 Pro, Toshiba Tecra 1300MhZ,
and USB2. Editing and viewing is done on the desktop: Celeron 1100MhZ with
XPSP2 Home. I use MotionDV for downloading , but Ulead DVD Movie Factory
works quite well for editing

Thanks Graham,

Does "not working all the time" mean dropped frames. If so, a firewire card
may be "on the cards". I am told that I can get one to fit into a PCMIA card
on my laptop but I guess it is just as easy to put into a desktop,

Motion Dv gives me avi 720*576 PAL
