My Paint programme got uninstalled accidentally and I'm having trouble getting it back. Could someone explain (in simple terms) how to re-install it. I have the original XP disc. My granddaughter uses it on the School Holidays and they are approaching fast.

Go to Control Panel, Add and remove Programs.

On the left click on Windows Components

Highlight Accessories and Utilities at the top, click Details

Highlight Accessories, click Details

Click the box at Paint to checkmark it, OK. (It may ask for the CD)

If it is already checked, click to Uncheck and OK out so as to have it
properly uninstalled, then go back and check it again

Alex,

This is the third reply in a row from you that didn't thread from the
original. It only shows your reply.
Have you modified any settings via your client?

No - and it is threaded as I see it. the headers on taking a look have
a proper References; Header with what looks to be the right one in it.
Maybe this is a server farm problem so that the server you connected to
does not have that original post on it

And it's not like it's rare. What I hate is the fact I miss follow ups to my answers. I feel like I'm letting people down and don't even know it.

I know of only one today so it running good.
