Painfully slow to view network PC

I

Ian

Can somebody please advise on the following. When
searching entire network for connected PC's, process
painfully slow. I.E. When selecting Entire Network in
Network Neighbour hood, Takes 3 or 4 minutes to first show
workgroup, then a further 3 or 4 minutes to show PC's with
in that workgroup. All other network traffic such as
internet share and using mapped drives from other PC'c
works fine, Once finding connected computers, browsing
that computer is also quite fast. This is all on a home
network system with 3 pc's all connected via a small Hub.
All used to be fine untill upgrading broadband from 500Kb
to 1Mb. Also finding that i can no longer see PC's over a
VPN connection. (I.E. Connecting to office server over
VPN, can ping, but can't view in network neighbourhood)

Please can somebody try and help

Regards
Ian

I'm only familiar with Cisco 3000 VPN client on WinXP. In Cisco's client
I have an option to "Allow local LAN access" which allows me to use My
Network Places (File/Printer sharing) during a VPN session.

Maybe you have something similar on your VPN client?
