Pagefile, why so large despite available memory?

That would be Nvidia and ATI, not VIA.

Well, thank you, all. The Perfmon utility indicated zero pages/sec.
So there is no pagefile use as such, only some reserved space on the
hard drive! I feel a little better now. Thanks again.

Yes, I am posting in plain text.

I also have "Block Images and other external content in HTML e-mail"
checked. Are you running some sort of plug-in that converts plain text
emoticons to graphic images? Perhaps OE-QuoteFix?
 
Yes Daave I am using OE-QuoteFix. I am not sure how this might have
caused the failure to display. The box for emoticons is checked.
However, your emoticon is currently displaying.
