Page X of Y displays Page 1 of 1, Page 2 of 2, etc.

In the header of my Word document, when I insert the autotext "Page X of Y"
(or enter the equivalent manually), I see the numbers as correct (Page 1 of 2
and Page 2 of 2) on my computer screen and with Print Preview, but when I
print the document, it shows the current page number only (so, Page 1 of 1
and Page 2 of 2). The code reads "Page {PAGE} of {NUMPAGES}. Please help.
