my internet explorer gets to the website and loads it but
then will not let me do anything on the site for about 10
seconds. this is a new problem, any idea on how to fix it?

The same basic scenario. IE 6.0 opens a page, but for a period of about 10 to 45 seconds, the page is frozen, not allowing me to do anything. Then afterwards, everything is perfectly normal until I attempt to refresh the same page or attempt to access a different page. This problem has been occurring for approximately 5 days now. This problem does NOT occur with Netscape 7.1

.
use spy sweeper to rid your computer of all your spy ware
www.spysweeper.com.It's the only software I know that
fixes the problem, although others may now have updates
that will fix it eg Ad-aware,Shredder

If Spysweeper ( www.spysweeper.com ) doesn't work, see
Dealing with Unwanted Spyware, Parasites, Toolbars and Search Engines
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.
CWShredder is also available here:
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs_edits/cwshredder.zip
**Post your HijackThis log to
http://forums.spywareinfo.com/ or the Spyware forum at
http://forum.aumha.org/ for expert analysis, not here.**
Alternative download pages for Ad-Aware, Spybot, HijackThis and CWShredder
may be found on this page:
http://aumha.org/a/parasite.htm.
If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
