Page Numbers on Handouts

I am printing handouts of a PowerPoint Presentation and would like to use
page numbers. I gone to View, Header Footer , Notes and Handouts and checked
Page Numbers and Apply All. However, page numbers are not appearing in
either the Print Preview or the actual printed documents. Any suggestions?

Thanks very much for any help you can provide.

Go to View/Master/Handouts Master (or Notes Master), then to Format/Whatever
Master Layout. Check the Page Number option and hit OK.

This should replace the Page Number placeholder, which I suspect has been
inadvertently deleted.

A follow-up question: I am able to print page numbers in my notes pages;
however, when I print the pages the page numbers are always displayed on the
lower right portion of the page. The problem is how can I get even-numbered
pages to print the page number in the lower left of the page and odd-numbered
pages to print the page number on the lower right portion of the page. Thanks!

PPT's handouts are unfortunately not very flexible. You'd have to set the
number placeholder on the master, print the odd-numbered slides, then reset
the placholder placement on the master and print the even-numbered slides.

You can also use File/Send to Word.

Or A kinder, gentler Send To Word
