Page number problem

After my Word 2003 tangled with a 2007 document, angrily, my Word has a few
lingering problems. The first being that page numbers now show/print as
{PAGE} (I believe {xxx} is some kind of coding used in 2007 for TOC's, page
numbers, etc?). How do I get them back to printing as they should?

In Word, click on Tools | Options | View tab | uncheck the boxes for
"All", "Hidden text", and "Field codes" | Print tab | uncheck the
"Hidden text" and "Field codes" boxes | OK.
