Page Number and Footers at the same time.

I want to insert plain text footers and page number into my word document,
but i can't do so. How do i go about doing that?

I have Windos Vista. I can't seem to insert both footers and page numbers in
at the same time. When I do try to do it, they end up being un-even on the
bottom of the page.

"Windows Vista" is not a version of Word. Probably you have Word2007.

WHAT DO YOU DO that ends up with things not looking the way you want
them?
