"Page Cannot Be Displayed"

I have IE 6.0.2800.1106 on Windows 98SE and i keep gettin the error message
"page cannot be displayed" when i try to load any site. I've got norton
internet security. The problem started today and used to be perfectly fine
some time ago. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Are you running updated AV software?

And spyware/malware scanners?

Check the Privacy tab in the Event Log of your Firewall to see whether
access to or from the web site is being blocked!

I used that application but still no difference, and Gerry my firewall isn't
doing anythin, i've tried disabling it and still there was no difference. Ya
i'm using Norton Internet Security 2005.
