Page Cannot be displayed

I can connect through dial up to Earthlink in Windows
XP home Edition, yet I cannot browse anything. I have
turned off "enable third party browsers, and run
cwshredder to check for spyware, and tested for viruses.
I have no firewall software running.

Thanks for whatever advice you have.

When did the problem begin?start > run > cmd

type: cd\
press "enter"
type: ipconfig /all
Press "enter"
Do you get an ip address?

type: ping 204.71.200.75
Press "enter"
do you receive replies?

Can you install Ad-aware and spybot to also search for
spyware?

Can you slave your hard drive into a different computer
and go to www.pandasoftware.com and/or www.trendmicro.com
to scan for viruses?
