"The page cannot be displayed" - only with IE

Just yesterday, my IE started giving me a "Cannot find
server - The page cannot be displayed" error. I am unable
to browse anything. However, this problem only occurs
with IE. If I use Netscape, which I cannot stand, I am
able to browse the web.

I have not downloaded any of the Service pack 2 updates
yet, so I don't think it has anything to do with that. I'm
running Norton Internet Security and ran a virus scan which
was negative. Any ideas anyone? Thanks!

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated with the program's update function
before every use, even when just downloaded. There's also a lot more to do
than just those two programs. CWShredder is also available here:

If nothing there helps, please post back to this thread.
