I am having problems with Internet Explorer. I can get to some web sites but
not others. For example, I can get to Google, CNN, EBay, Amazon, Microsoft,
MSN and Earthlink, but I cannot get to the pages that display web mail at
hotmail.com or Earthlink’s web mail page. I also cannot register some
software, like Norton Anti-Virus at the Symantec web site. I am using a
dial-up connection. When I go to the pages listed above that I cannot reach,
I either get a Page Not Found screen in IE or a message that I could not be
connected to the server. If I go to other computers I can get to the web
sites I cannot reach on my PC. I am running XP Home Edition, SP 2, NAV 2005,
Microsoft firewall On. I have turned off the firewall and uninstalled NAV
with no difference. MSN support told me to reinstall Windows XP.
