page cannot be displayed

I get the "Page cannot be displayed" error when trying to
view MOST web pages. I have to hit the refresh button
multiple times while holding down the shift key or
the "Go" button several times to finally view the page.
I disconnected from my router and went straight to my
modem and it worked fine. BUT the other computers on the
router do not have this problem. I checked for multiple
copies of Winsock, etc. I cleared my cache and cookies,
etc. I tried switching ports in my router. I lowered my
security settings, I checked my HOSTS file(which only
had "local host" line in it, but so do the other computers
which work fine). I re-registered all my dll's. My NIC
diagnostic tool shows my NIC to be fine. I am out of
ideas. I have every update possible for Windows Explorer
6 on Windows XP Pro. Anybody have any help please?

Run IPconfig with the release switch, hope it helps.
