Hi gramichhocolate :)

Since you don't tell us the version of Windows you are using, I can only
make a guess, but, you might try the following and see if it helps:

The Page Cannot Be Displayed" Error Message When You Try to Start Internet
Explorer
(using AOL)
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/326155/?sd=RMVP

Cannot access AOL with IE

http://www.opentechsupport.net/foru...69dae17ae13eb372131f60152374a15&threadid=7006

AOL and IE problems

IE not connecting with AOL installed
http://techrepublic.com.com/5208-11184-0.html?forumID=47&threadID=174589&start=0&tag=search

If you have McAfee Anti-virus disable it from the start up and then
restart, or delete it comepletely. Hitting disable from the task bar is not
enough.

also..

SHDOCLC.DLL
shdoclc.dll/dnserror.htm

AOL and Internet Explorer error

Hope this helps.

Just try the information I provided as it may apply to your OS and ignore
