Package reinstall on every launch

I built a package with Wininstall LE for a legacy-installation application
and I installed it on a clean computer. Now every time I start the
application, the shortcut is starting msiexec which prompts for the MSI file
location (thought I never moved it). The shortcut is not for the file itself
(I believe it is for Publish or Advertising features)
Can you provide me some indication on what should I change? (I use orca and
wininstall le)

Indeed, the program saves its personalized settings on HKCU. (I've started
the program once before I had performed the After snapshot.)
