i bought a intel celeron processor 2.40GHz
(400mhz system bus, 128kb L2 advanced transfer cache, as the box says)

according with its "sSpec number" (SL6W4) its seems to be the following

will it work with the asus P4S8X-X ???

I have just built a computer for a customer with that same setup,
P4S8X-X Motherboard and a 2.4Ghz Celeron. Works fine. Enjoy!

which mem?
which bios parameters?
which cooler?
how high is temp??

All I did was crank up the front side bus to 133 and I am using pc 2700
memory set to auto. I did not change any other settings in my bios. Just
make sure you have good ventilation in your case. I have a 2 fan p4 power
supply, a front case fan and a rear pci slot fan. Under load my CPU goes up
to 52 C play 3d games online but now as I am typing this it is running at 29
C. I have gone higher than 133 all the way up to 141 fsb.
