OWA loose Inbox email

Why does OWA Inbox loose its contents shortly after receiving it? Running
SBS2000 SP4/Exchange Outlook Express used to connect but leave copy of
message on server checked. With and w/o and outlook client...still looses
the mail ... any suggestions as to why???

Talk to an Exchange group - OWA is a part of Exchange, not Outlook.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After furious head scratching, Help Me Please asked:

Since OWA is nothing more than a view into your Exchange mailbox, there's no
way it can affect the contents of that mailbox. OWA doesn't download
anything. If you have rules, those can affect the contents of your mailbox,
but that would be true for Outlook as well.

ANd what does it do now?

My guess is that you are accessing the mailbox with a client that is
downloading the messages from the server and deleting them.
