Overwrite Win XP with Win 2000?

I have a laptop that came with Windows XP Home Edition
installed on it. I want to install Windows 2000
Professional. When I insert the Win 2000 CD, I get an
error message telling me that this is older software.

How can install Windows 2000 Pro on this computer?

You can run winnt32.exe from the I386 folder on the CD, but if you want to
format and start clean you'll need to boot from the CD
