Various problems:
After getting what was apparently some variant of the
blaster worm, I reinstalled XP, because the Repair
function would not work. Now I've got the original user
folders for each user, and a new one for each,
username.computername/... My daughter had a password on
her account. How can I get at her files to copy them to
the new folder? Is there any way I can get rid of the
stranded folders? I can't delete them in explorer because
of the system subfolders in them.
I'm also still having apparently worm-caused problems, but
the Symantec blaster removal tool didn't find the worm
anywhere.
