Outlook2003 ignore junk mail options

D

DonJ-Austin

I have triple-checked that the junk mail option Level of Protection is set to
Contacts and Safe Recipientss Only. But, ALL the spam is coming through to
the Inbox. This is a new development in an account and inbox that have been
set up for a while.

Env:
Win XP Pro SP3
Outlook 2003 IMO SP3

Thanks for any help.

Don,
Did you get anything figured out on this one? I too had an email account
that i have used forever and all the junk/spam mail was sent to my junk email
box. About May of this year, all of a sudden all that junk mail is not
filtering to my junk email box but ending up in my inbox--marked as spam. IF
YOU HAVE FIGURED ANYTHING OUT, LET ME KNOW!! THANKS!!!!

Outlook does not mark anything as spam, so if you are seeing this, then either
your mail provider or an antispam tool you've installed is doing it.

Brian,
I'm new to using message boards -- so are you with Microsoft? You say that
the "spam" marking is from my email provider. I can definitely ck with them
if anything has changed but why would junk mail that ALWAYS went into my junk
mail box all of a sudden all come in to my inbox? Is it this "spam" marking
that is doing it? ANY INFO YOU HAVE WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!! This
is horribly irritating but I can't figure out how to fix it and I really
don't want to throw away this email account -- too many people/contacts use
it.

I don't work for Microsoft. In general, Microsoft employees nether read nor
post here.

What type of account? POP, IMAP, HTTP? I don't think the "spam" marking
would prevent it from being filtered out, but it could have an effect.

I am using POP3 account in my outlook.

The first thing I'd do would be to log into my mail account on the server via
a web browser and see what type of antispam options were enabled.
