Outlook XP Sych error

Amy

Hi - I have Outlook XP on a Windows Xp Pro machine that
will only synch up until a certain point and then it
errors out. The error message in the synch log had me
reinstall Office and create a new .ost file.
_us.asp?err=80004005-501-820-550). I am still unable to
completely synch and receive the same error message. We
are using Exchange 2000 and other users who also synch
are not having problems. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Note that OST files in Outlook XP and prior versions have a 2.GB limit, and
I usually see problems in OST and PST files when they get between 1.2 and
1.5 GB. Create a new OST, select fewer items to sync (or filter based on
date or some other criteria) and see if it solves the problem.
Do you have mailbox quotas in place? Is the user syncing a lot of public
folders?
