Error synchronizing offline folder

I am working Offline with Outlook 2000.

When I try to synchronize everything goes OK until I get
to Deleted Items. Then I get an Error in Synchronization
message, the synch stops, and I get the following synch
error message in my Deleted Items folder:

9:37:53 Synchronizing Folder 'Deleted Items'
9:38:21 121 item(s) added to online folder
9:38:21 7 item(s) updated in online folder
9:38:21 Error synchronizing folder
9:38:21 [80040119-200A0201-0-340]

Something in the deleted items folder is corrupt. Try
this. Open your offline folder and empty the deleted
items. Logon to outlook prior to sync and either empty the
deleted items folder completely or move items out to a
personal folder and empty the rest. Try syncing again.
If that doesn't work, try creating a new OST file but you
must search and deleted any old ost files first.
