Outlook XP after SP3 Upgrade

J

Jason Brooks

Hello,

After upgrading my OfficeXP to service pack 3, it now
displays a message saying an external program is trying
to access outlook when I click new mail. WordXP is the
default editor. It then asks for a time to allow the
program to use the address book.

Why do I have to keep permitting access?

Secondly, using a PalmVx Hotsync, produces the same
dialog. No virus is on the system, I had this problem
with SP1 which went away with SP3.

Any Suggestions?

Kind Regards
Jason

If you have a full version of Adobe Acrobat installed, you will either need
to stop using Word as your e-mail editor or disable the PDFMaker addin.
(See http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2002sp3.htm#problems for more
details)

Might want to check with Palm to see if they have an updated version of
Hotsync (you will need something later than v4.1.0).
