Outlook won't send or receive but generates no error

Outllok has been workjing fine for 18 months on this machine, but has in the
last two weeks stopped sending and receiving. Outlook will test the account
settings and generate a test email that sends ok and all settings show as
correct, but it won't download it back from the ISP, other emails won't send
and the accounts won't receive. Tried a freeware email client and that works
fine. Doesn't give any error message, just sits there and complains it
hasn't sent all mail when you quit the application. Anyone seen this?

Hard to tell since you don't post any specific information of your Outlook
configuration and issue. At least post;

Hi Sorry about that:

Outlook 2003
POP3 account
there is no error message (which is why I'm stuck) hit send and receive,
Outlook appears to do it but doesn't send anything from the outbox or pull
anything down from the server (oddly not even the one it sent when I "Test
Account Settings") is there any more information I can provide?

Are you using a security suite (like a virus scanner) that integrates with
Outlook? Disable this integration and try again.
