Outlook won't open

Yesterday I deleted some archived emails and now when I try to open Outlook
the screen just freezes with the Outlook window showing. I have tried
opening it with the icon and by going to start-->programs and always it
freezes. How can I fix this without re-installing Outlook because I don't
want to lose my emails and I don't have the CD to re-install it anyway. This
is a network computer at work.

Are you on exchange or pop mail?
Uninstalling OL doesnt remove the mail, but there again it rarely cures a
problem

Thanks DL. I tried just letting it stay in the opening mode with the hour
glass showing and it took about 15 minutes but then it opened. Now it opens
normally; I have tried it half a dozen times since then and it opens right
away.
