Outlook won't delete by rules

Hi,
I use Outlook 98 on win98 and use the Rules Wizard to try to block the
fake MS or system Swen e-mail. Typical rule is: check incoming messages
- if subject or body contains " qmail" ( or "undeliverable", or
"undelivered", etc.) - delete the message.
Doesn't seem to work - I open a passed message and find the
(apparently) exact word or phrase I used in the rule. Perhaps the words
as seen in the mails are disguised something else? Anybody help?

Hi Brian.....

I use OE on WinME and I have my Rules set up to nail 'undeliverable or
undelivered' (sounds like you read one of my posts, grin)....I also use
the first phrase of the email "this is the latest version of security
patch" and the words "Cumulative Patch".

Don't know Outlook at all, but make sure that you have the Rule at the
top of the box and that you have the following ticked off.......

1. Delete it
2. Mark it as Read
3. Stop Processing More Rules. (this one is important)

Go to the following website for OE and read Tom Koch's instructions for
Message Rules.....

Cheers.....Heather
