What version of Outlook? (I swear someday I am going to make a macro that
says that!)

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, Alex^^ asked:

I suspect that somewhere between you and Hotmail (perhaps at your place of
work, if you're trying to do this from work) is a "proxy server" that
doesn't understand the HTTP/DAV protocol that Outlook's Hotmail support
uses. Contact either your IT department or your ISP to see if they can
upgrade their proxy server.

"It worked for a while" - your ISP didn't have a proxy server or had one
that understood HTTP/DAV
"now it doesn't" - your ISP installed a proxy server that doesn't understand
HTTP/DAV

Another possibility is that you yourself installed some software (a
firewall, perhaps?) that is blocking the HTTP/DAV protocol. Did you install
anything just before this started happening?
