Help!
New hp desktop(a few months old) with Windows XP pro....no problems until I
decided I wanted to switch to using Outlook for contact management.

Outlook will not open. Repeated error messages
"Unable to open your default email folders. Could not open them. Try
again." click OK
Second message
"Would you like to open your default file system folder instead?"
If no.....program closes
If yes.....third error appears
"Run time error! Program: C:\PROGRAM~1\MICROS~4\OFFICE10\OUTLOOK.EXE
abnormal program termination"

I am admittedly not very computer savvy.....could use some help.
Thanks
Thom

You might want to post to a newsgroup with outlook in the name. here is
a list of all MS newsgroups:

You night want to post this in the Outlook group.Just take the link below
and copy\paste into your browser and go there.Since you are posting via CDO
this is the only way to access that group unless you set up your OE also as
a newsreader. To set up OE as a newsreader use the second link below.

To access the Outlook group in IE Browser
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.outlook.general
