OUTLOOK WILL NOT FULLY CLOSE

I am operating Outlook 2007 Beta2 and have 4 email profiles.

Let's say I am working on PROFILE 1 and I finish and now want to view a
different profile. I now click File> Exit to close Outlook and reopen OL to
select a different profile.

When I reopen OL expecting to see the profile menu so that I can make my
selection, instead Outlook bypasses the seleciton window and reopens in
whatever profile I just closed.

I have even tried closing OL by different methods--- Clicking the 'X' in the
upper right corner, or typing File > Exit. But the same thing happens;
whatever profile I was working on, is the one that reopens automatically.
Even if I close and open numerous times, this still happens.

How can I solve this problem?

(I did search this site for an answer but did not see one.)
Thanks in advance for your help.

Did you already install B2TR? If not, links to the downloads are on my
website (read the issues page on my blog first before installing B2TR).
About your actual problem: You probably have an add-in installed that
doesn't let Outlook close correctly. Or you have a PDA that is syncing
with Outlook. If you have a PDA, make sure the device is disconnected
when you try to close Outlook.
To determine whether you have an add-in issue, start Outlook in safe
mode (Start, Run, "outlook /safe") and see if you now can close Outlook
fully. You can determine this by opening the task manager and checking
the process tab. The process outlook.exe should disappear a short while
after the entire Outlook UI disappeared. If Outlook closes fully in safe
mode, then reopen it and disable all your active add-ins via Tools,
Trust-Center, Add-Ins. Then check that it closes fully again. After
that, reactivate one add-in at a time and determine which one prevents
Outlook from closing. This way you can identify the culprit.
Also, the issue could be due to an anti-virus scanner integrating itself
into Outlook. You can safely switch off any Outlook AV integration, as
it doesn't actually offer you any additional security beyond what your
normal AV scanner and Outlook security together already provide.

Patrick, thanks so much. Now Outlook fully closes and I can access other
profiles.

I don't know if I installed B2TR (I just downloaded several Beta2 versions
about 1 week ago). How can I tell?

Thanks again!

B2R was released Thursday, 9/14.
The splash screen at Outlook startup has now a strong yellow background
and it says B2TR in it.
