outlook will not automatically check emails

Hi,
I have outlook 2003 and it has been working fine for the last 6 months or so
but now it has stopped checking for emails automatically.

I have 1 pop3 account set up and have set the program to automatically check
every 10 minutes but it doesn't check at all. Only when I press
send/receive.

I have turned that feature off and then restarted Outlook and tried again. I
have also changed the timing to 2 minutes but nothing seems to work.

Any thoughts greatly received.

I have no idea of how to correct the problem easiley ! Since I did n't c a
post here is what I would do. Backup or copy to a file and reinstall as
repair from Office CD.
 
Hi Lenny,
what you can try is create a new profile and import all the mails to
new pst
(you could open the old pst file and set it as default but i would not
recommend to do so!)
configure the account settings and that must work for sure.

To start of goto control panel->mail->show profiles

create a new profile and... ....
dont forget to change the profile in the mail window once you have
created it.
