New machine with Vista Home Premium and Outlook 2007 from Office Pro.
Problem: Outlook 2007 does not automatically receive mail when I start the
program (I have waited up to 10 minutes for it). It used to do it and one day
it decided not to do it anymore.
However, if I go to Tools/Send Receive/Send Receive Settings and move the
mouse over the Show Progress command without clicking on it, Outlook starts
checking the mail and gives no error.
If I press F9, it starts checking the mail but it checks it twice, as if it
was already checking it and, of course, the second time activates the
2-minute limit imposed by my server and gives an error.
This is my send/receive setup:
I check only my main account (university account), no gmail, no rss.
The account is a POP3 account, with SSL on incoming and port 995, and SMTP
on outgoing and port 25.
File/Work offline is unchecked.
In Options/Mail Setup I have checked "Send immediately when connected".
Include this group in send/receive: checked (also checked for offline)
Schedule an automatic send/receive every: 11 minutes (checked, also for
offline)
I tried repairing my account, uninstalled and reinstalled Outlook and the
problem persisted.
Does anybody have a solution for this?
Thank you.
