Hi everyone,
I've had this issue since Beta 2, but never got around to reporting it. It
is still present in the Technical Refresh.
I have multiple e-mail accounts. When Outlook is in Online mode and set to
check e-mails automatically, the first account will get checked, but
Outlook's progress in the status bar hangs at the last message. The other
accounts don't get checked. I can cancel the Send/Receive operation, but the
next Send/Receive (automatic or manual) will fail entirely.
If I set Outlook in Offline mode and only manually Send/Receive, it works
fine. Also, in Online mode, if I interrupt the first automatic Send/Receive
while the first e-mail account is in progress, and then let it check either
automatically or manually, it works fine.
My e-mail setup is rather complex. I use SpamPal and TrendMicro SMB to
connect to POP3 accounts. Spampal listens on port 1100 on my local machine,
which then forwards to TrendMicro (port 110 on my local machine) which then
forwards to the actual mail server. I am not sure if my mail setup is the
culprit; but I suspect Outlook 2007 is certainly part of it. I had Outlook
2003 previously with the same setup, which worked fine. Also, if I keep
Outlook in Offline mode, everything works fine.
Thanks,
SA.
