outlook today

Outlook today will not be the default start up page even
when it is checked in "Customize Outlook Today..." or in
Options - Other - Advanced Options. Also, Notes Folder in
Outlook Today does not keep count but rather remains at
zero no matter how many notes are in the notes folder. Any
help on this?

Hi,

The following steps might help you resolve the issue:

1. Goto Customize Outlook Today and the select the option,

" When starting, go directly to Outlook Today ".

2. Goto Tools --> Options --> Other --> Advanced Options and select the
option,

" Startup in this folder " and Select Outlook Today for this option.

3. Goto the properties of the Personal Folder --> Homepage -->Restore
Defaults.

4. Close Outlook. Rename outlwvw.dll to .old and then restart Outlook.

5. Start --> Run --> Regedit. Browse to the following location.

HKEY-CURRENT-USER\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\OFFICE\10.0\OUTLOOK\TODAY

Export the key and then delete it and try restarting Outlook.

6. Start --> Run --> Regedit. Browse to the following location.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Clients\Mail\Microsoft
Outlook\shell\open\command

Change this value to "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OfficeX\outlook.exe"
/recycle

where OfficeX refers to Office9 for Office 2000, Office10 for OfficeXP and
Office11 for Office2003.

Hope this helps !!!

With Regards,
